A pendant light crafted from reclaimed char pai (traditional woven daybed) wood legs rescued, re-turned, and reborn for modern interiors.

Each Char pai light begins life as part of a traditional South Asian bed frame, its hand-carved wooden legs rich with heritage and history. In the hands of artisan Anwar, these reclaimed spindles are upcycled, re-turned, and hand-painted, preserving craftsmanship while preventing waste. The Char pai light connects tradition, sustainability and design innovation in every curve.

  • Turned timber element: approx. 510mm height
  • Overall drop supplied with 1500mm black braided flex (adjustable)
  • 120mm Ø brass ceiling rose (driver housed inside)
  • 120mm Ø opal globe shade (G9 threaded entry)

Yes, included as standard.

Can the LED up-light be removed to reduce the cost?
Yes. We can supply the Char Pai Pendant without the LED up-light to suit budget.
